RUSSELL’S BARBECUE RAISES OVER $15,000 FOR WOUNDED WARRIORS
Last Friday, Russell Budd, Founder of PBS Contractors, hosted his semiannual barbecue, known as Russell’s Barbecue, benefiting Wounded Warriors of Collier County. Over $15,000was raised for the organization.
“We choose a different organization as our beneficiary for every barbecue we host in the Spring and Fall. This Spring, we chose Wounded Warriors of Collier County because we are honored to have completed Charlie House, the third home to provide housing for Veterans in need locally,”
Russell states. “Wounded Warriors of Collier County is a worthy cause because their organization’s mission aligns with the PBS purpose statement, which includes Building Better Lives for Our Community.” “Thank you all for your help,” states Bruce, a Veteran who found Wounded Warriors of Collier County after moving to Naples from Pennsylvania. “Without you, I really would be on the streets. There are a lot of guys like me who are homeless in Collier County. Wounded Warriors is a very well-needed organization in our community”. Bruce now lives in Bravo House, the second residential housing unit completed by Wounded Warriors of Collier County. Past beneficiaries of Russell’s Barbecue include Humane Society Naples, David Lawrence Centers, Golden PAWS Assistance Dogs, Collier-Lee Honor Flight, and others.
